VSA Championship "States"
The VSA Championship Meet invites all qualifying teams from the State of Vermont to compete on the first full weekend in August. This is a great meet from both an individual and team perspective. There are 2 ways in which a swimmer can become eligible to participate in this meet shown below.
Host site:
- Upper Valley Aquatic Center - White River Junction, VT
Format: Order of events
- Saturday AM, August 1st - 10 & under
- Saturday PM, August 1st - 11 & over
- Sunday AM, August 2nd - 10 & under
- Sunday PM, August 2nd - 11 & over
Eligibility:
- Swimmers must have competed in at least 2 CVSL meets and be in good standing with the team.
- *NEW Swimmers may be entered in up to 5 individual and 2 relay events.
- To be entered into events...
- Swimmers must meet or exceed qualifying / cut times designated by the VSA competition committee. *swimmers who qualify for 1 event become eligible for additional events based on the bonus time posted.
- Swimmers may be entered into an event or events if no other qualifying STA swimmers are already entered. This is unlikely for 10 & younger swimmers as there are only 6 events and there's usually at least 1 qualifying swimmer. The 100 IM (individual medley) is sometimes the exception. The smaller the age-group, the more likely this can happen.
More Info:
- The full meet invite is available here should you be interested. A more streamlined parent version is typically made available at some point in the near future and will be added at that time.
